Pues si, la cazadora motera que se hizo mítica con Marlon Brando en la pelicula “Salvaje” de 1954 se llama Perfecto. Su curioso nombre viene de sus creadores, los hermanos Irving y Jack Schott.

Esta pareja de hermanos de origen ruso llegan a Manhattan en 1913 y abren una pequeña tienda en el Lower East Side donde confeccionan gabardinas. A finales de los años 20 y a petición de un motero crean la primera cazadora de piel con una cremallera. Irving la bautizaría “PERFECTO”, como su marca favorita de puros cubanos.
Tras la película de Marlon Brando y con la muerte de James Dean en 1955 vistiendo una Perfecto, se convertiría en símbolo de rebeldía, libertad y aventura. La cultura del rock la adoptaría y desde Elvis Presley a Bruce Springsteen o a The Clash la adoptan como su vestuario de escenario y parte de su imagen transgresora.
Las marcas de ropa, ávidas de ventas han repetido y actualizado su diseño desde hace décadas, y hasta los grandes de la moda como Vivienne Westwood, Gianni Versace, Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, Claude Montana, Karl Lagerfeld o Dolce & Gabbana incorporan variantes en sus colecciones. The biker jacket which became legendary with Marlon Brando in the 1954 movie ” The wild ones ” is called Perfecto . Its curious name comes from its creators, Irving and Jack Schott brothers.
Coming from Russia, they arrive to Manhattan in 1913 and opened a small shop on the Lower East Side where produce raincoats at the first years . In the late 20s and at the request of a biker created the first leather jacket with a zipper. Irving branded it with the name of his favorite cigar: Perfecto
