Si sois de los que seguís las tendencias de la moda en las revistas y blogs, habréis oído muchas veces mencionar el boho chic, ¿pero, sabéis de donde viene? Es una mezcla de aires hippies y bohemios, con toques étnico y campestres. Si a ello unes detalles vintage, ¡lo tienes!

El nombre Boho chic tiene su origen en la abreviatura de la palabra Bohemia y del término chic que significa elegante. Por otro lado, la vuelta a las tendencias hippies han sido algo cíclico desde los años 70 y podríamos decir que el boho chic es quizá su última evolución.

El look boho se hace popular de la mano de la actriz Sienna Miller en el Festival de Glastonbury de 2004. Llevaba un vestido corto de denim negro, con un cinturón de tachuelas, una gafas con montura en color lima y unas botas UGG de caña baja. La mezcla bohemia y ecléctica al mismo tiempo llevaba tiempo fraguándose en el barrio londinense de North Kensington, un área de Londres asociada con la cultura bohemia desde mediados de la década de 1950.

Un año después Kate Moss aparecía en el mismo festival con Pete Doherty, por aquel entonces su novio con unas botas Hunter llenas de barro, un vestido vintage y un bolso de inspiración zíngara. El boho chic ya era un estilo oficial.

Desde entonces, ellas son las embajadoras de este estilo, aunque no sin la ayuda de Kate Bosworth, Kate Hudson, Poppy Delevingne o las hermanas Olsen, aportando nuevos detalles.

Como todo estilo que se basa en las mezclas y más éste con vestidos de segunda mano, pieles, denim, chalecos y accesorios, hay que saber muy bien combinar los elementos para que nuestro look no caiga en el disfraz. No es fácil y depende mucho del glamour personal. Y como todo estilo que se hace popular, podéis encontrarlo en joyería, en peluquería, en decoración, en las manualidades…

The boho look was made popular by the hand of actress Sienna Miller at the Glastonbury Festival 2004. She wore a black denim short dress with a studded belt, a rimmed glasses in lime green and a low UGG boots. Bohemian and eclectic mix at the same time had long been brewing in the North London neighborhood of Kensington, London area associated with bohemian culture since the mid-1950s.

A year later Kate Moss appeared at the same festival with Pete Doherty, who was then her boyfriend with a full Hunter mud boots, a vintage dress and a bag of gypsy inspiration. The boho chic was already an official style.

Since then, they both are the ambassadors of this style, but not without the help of Kate Bosworth, Kate Hudson, Poppy Delevingne or the Olsen sisters, adding their own new details.

Like any style based on mixtures and in this particular the mix of second hand garments, leather, denim and jackets and accessories like hats, fringed boots or shoes vintage heels, combination of the elements is key to avoid our look not fall in disguise. It is not so easy and much depends on the personal glamor. And like any style that becomes popular, it no longer reduces only the dress, you can find it in jewelry, decoration, in crafts …
