Hoy quiero hacer una mención especial a todos los profesionales que mantienen la artesanía tradicional, el buen hacer y la magia de la costura. En estos tiempos de globalización, donde prima lo barato antes que la calidad, el consumo antes que la razón y las modas antes que el gusto y la elegancia, ver videos como el que hoy añado en esta publicación hace que enamorados de la costura como yo creamos que lo auténtico y la tradición aún tiene supervivencia y un futuro.

Uno de estos ejemplos es la familia Hurel, que empezó a finales del siglo XIX bordando en un pequeño taller en Paris y que no ha dejado de hacerlo hasta nuestros días. Actualmente diseñan y producen tejidos exclusivos para la alta costura en seda, lana, algodón o lino, aunque lo que hace de ellos un referente es su atelier de bordados a mano. Sus archivos de trabajos realizados en estos más de cien años de historia y el “saber hacer” de estos magos de la aguja hacen que las casas de moda más lujosas acudan a ellos para sus colecciones.
Ver este video es una demostración de su lujo, no por lo suntuoso de sus trabajos, si no por su delicadeza y por el placer de ver cómo con una simple aguja puede crear esas maravillosas joyas.
Today I want to make a special tribute to all professionals who maintain alive traditional crafts, the expertise handworks and the magic of the sewing. In this era of globalization, where the priority is the cheapness rather than quality, consumption rather than reason and ethic and short-live fashions rather than the taste and elegance, videos like the one I add in this post makes than lovers on the couture word as myself still can believe that the authentic and the tradition have survival and future.
